LIKE, LIKING FOR, DISLIKE OF (FOR, TO)
Существительное like 'симпатия, склонность, влечение' употребляется главным образом во множественном числе: one's likes and dislikes 'симпатии и антипатии'. Liking 'симпатия, расположение' употребляется в единственном числе: to have a liking for sports, to have a liking for a girl. Противоположное по значению dislike 'неприязнь, нелюбовь' употребляется с предлогами of, for и to (преимущественно of): dislike of snakes, dislike of carelessness; to take a dislike to somebody, to have a dislike for light-mindedness.
